Picking up right where they last left off at the computer, children experience math, language, literacy, science and social studies concepts in a personalized and engaging learning environment unlike any other. And each time they login everything they learn is automatically saved for easy progress monitoring!
Based on Research & Standards
Quality Content Engages Children in Learning
iStartSmart was developed by Hatch early education experts to provide the early childhood market with developmentally appropriate technology that is founded in research and exceeds state and national standards. Children explore math and literacy concepts individually in a positive and encouraging virtual environment. As children complete activities, they receive theme-based rewards and prizes, such as a vegetable growing in their garden, a location added to their
travel scrapbook or a safari animal badge.

Focuses on 18 Core Skills
Designed to help ALL children excel
iStartSmart adaptive teaching technology moves children through 18 skill development areas that are known to predict academic success. Children must demonstrate understanding, before the system presents them with more advanced activities at emergent, developing, developed and completed levels. If a child struggles with an activity, the system will automatically intervene to help them move forward or refocuses them on other skill levels necessary to master increasingly difficult concepts.
Automatically Monitor Progress through Scaffolded Levels
Gain Insight with Progress Monitoring Reports
Collect authentic data while children play and learn. It's easy for teachers to pinpoint exactly what each child is learning with progress monitoring dashboards and reports. Built-in, fully formatted and printable reports aid in frequent assessment of progress and allow teachers, administrators, counselors and parents to share meaningful data. This information can be used to help guide and personalize instruction in other areas of the classroom and helps designate how each child should spend their time.
