Imprints for Families

Imprints

http://www.imprintsforfamilies.org

Imprints, an organization that is committed to helping families with young children thrive, helps families nurture and prepare their children for success through individual and group parent education, collaborations and referrals. Through their programs, they support parents in the community with intensive services ranging from helping parents teach babies sign language, to group parenting classes where parents can learn how to incorporate learning into the routines of daily life. Their programs and services are all based on the belief that parents are children’s first and best teachers.

Hatch collaborated with Imprints for the 2010 Block Fest by providing a wide variety of high quality blocks for parents to purchase for continued play and learning. Imprints’ Block Fest is an interactive block exhibit which provides parents and children a hands-on learning laboratory to interact with blocks and gain understanding of math concepts learned while playing with blocks. Children (ages 8 months-8 years) play at five stations, featuring various types of blocks, as parents and teachers learn strategies to encourage learning. Imprints’ Parent Educators facilitate play and share with parents ideas for interactive block play.
